With all of the tragedy that has hit the news these past few weeks, here’s a story that will brighten your day. May Ashworth, an 86-year-old woman from the UK was found typing “please” and “thank you” in her google searches, after trying to learn what number a roman numeral stood for. When her grandson asked her why she was using “please” and “thank you” in her searches, May revealed that she thought there was a real person answering her questions, and that she thought she would get a quicker response by using manners. While it has yet to proven that the use of manners improved her internet speed, it definitely brought smiles to many people around the world, and for that we are all thankful.
