After a relaxing trip, and much needed vacation to the Oregon Coast, the following holiday weekend was busy, although fun was still in abundance!
First, I spent the Fourth of July at Lake Goodwin, which is about an hour north of Seattle, in Washington. The celebration that happens there is generations old. The day is spent boating and swimming in the lake and the evening is filled with food, drinks and family, all gathered to watch the fireworks that are on display all the way around the lake.
The following day, I drove down to Seattle and took the ferry across to Vashon Island to participate in a wedding celebration. The weather was great, the ceremony was beautiful and the food, dancing and festivities were certainly not in short supply.
It was such a busy weekend that I was happy that we had decided to add an extra day off to our calendar. We’ll be hitting it hard starting tomorrow We hope you all enjoyed your time off!
